The Empress is a symbol to explore your emotions and listen to your intuition. Inspired by 1940s sleepwear, this sleeveless nightgown with a plunging neckline is beautiful without being overtly sexy. For mothers, the Empress symbolizes coming into your own and finding fulfillment.

We offer free shipping and returns to anywhere in the US, and require a signature upon delivery of your garment(s).

Shipping and returns outside of the US is subject to standard shipping rates for delivery within 7-10 business days.

Returns

While we hope that your item fits perfectly, we understand if you need to return it. We have a 15-day return policy for returns in the US, which means you have 15 days after receiving your item to request a return. For returns outside of the US, you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. For eligibility requirements and other details, please see our Shipping and Returns page.

Do I have to pay first in order to pre-order?

Yes. Moonlit Finerie purposefully keeps fewer garments in stock to discourage excess cutting, sewing, manufacturing and packaging waste for the fashion industry. It is part of our ethos to do more for the environment.

When will I receive my pre-order?

All pre-orders received by December 1, 2024 will be filled by April 15, 2025. We will email you in advance so that you know when to expect your nightgown.

How to Measure

Bust:

Start the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust. Wrap the tape measure under your arms, around your back, and back to the beginning, while keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor.

Waist:

Looking in a mirror, locate the narrowest part of your waist, which is typically below your rib cage and above your belly button. Measure this area, while keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor.

Hips:

Stand with your feet together in front of a mirror. Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks.

Inseam:

This measurement should be taken from the top of your thigh to the ankle. For ease, you can take a well fitting pair of jeans or pants and measure them from the crotch to the ankle along the inner seam. For the purposes of our nightdresses, we simply use your total height to determine whether it is recommended to purchase the regular or petite length.
